CVS deals week of 6/24

This week is really good for DIAPERS!!  I found all my deals at the Thrifty Couple’s website.  They do an awesome job each week of finding the best deals on diapers.

  • Some newspapers got a $5.00 off 2 coppertone suncare coupon in the 6/24 smartsource.  If you did… they are on sale for $9.98 and you get $8.00 in extra bucks when you buy 2.  This makes it $3.44 for each sunscreen!  I couldn’t’ find them in my paper this week…hopefully you have more luck!

Here’s what I bought this week:

  • 3 Huggies little Movies at $10 each and used 3 $2.00 off coupons from the 6/17 smartsource. (you also get 10 extra bucks for spending $30)
  • 2 Panteen Hair products on sale for 2/$6.98 and used a $3.00 off 2 coupon from the 6/24 smartsource, and a $2.00 off Panteen coupon that printed at the red coupon box in the store
  • 2 CVS brand shampoos that were on sale for $1.49 and used a $2.00 off coupon for any hair care item that printed at the red box

My Total Before Coupons and Sale Price: $55.78

My Total after coupons and $8.00 extra bucks from last week: $21.81 plus $10.00 off my next purchase

CVS this week (2/26) 3 razors, 5 blades and a heat wrap for under $3.00!

I forgot to take a picture again, but I did get a pretty sweet deal on razors!  Last summer they were on sale all the time for free or almost free, and it looks like they are starting to go on sale again.  I would recommend starting to stock up on them.  Last year I got the Schick Hydro razor blades for sale, and the razor they go with are finally on sale this week!

Here’s what I bought:

  • 1 ThermaCare Heat Wrap Lower Back and Hip, 1 ct., $3.79 and got $3.79 off next purchase
  • 2 Schick Hydro Power for $9.99, used 2 $4.00 off coupons from 2/26 smart source, and got $8.00 off next purchase ($4 for each razor)
  • 1 Schick Silk Razor for $9.99 and used 1 $4.00 coupon from 2/26 smart source and got $4.00 off next purchase
  • 1 Schick Hydro Refills (5 ct) for $8.49 and used a $4.00 coupon and got $4.00 of next purchase

Here’s how I made it work:

Transaction #1:

  • Bought 1 razor and the heat wraps, and used a $4.00 off from last week, and 1 coupon.  Paid $5.78 (plus tax) and got $7.79 off next purchase.

Transaction #2

  • Bought the refills and other razor, use 2 coupons, and $7.79 off from last transaction.  Paid $2.69 plus tax and got $8.00 off next purchase

Transaction #3

  • Bought last razor, used my 4.00 coupon and 1 of the $4.00 off from last transaction.  Paid $1.99 plus tax and earned another 4.00 off next purchase

Total: I lost my receipt so this doesn’t include tax, but if I had not used any coupons or earned any ECBs it would have cost me $42.25.  I paid $10.46 and have $8.00 off my next purchase!  That means I got 3 razors, 5 refills, and a heat wrap for $2.46!!!

To do this you will need 2 papers from last weekend.  You don’t have to pay in 3 transactions, but if you do you will pay less out of pocket.  If you don’t have any ECBs from previous weeks, make sure you have signed up at CVS.com with your emails address.  The first time you sign up you will get $4.00, plus they will email you great coupons!.

Last- If CVS is out, be sure to have them write you a rain-check so you can get this deal when the razors are back in stock.

You can also get UP2U gum for free and a few other deals…check them out at SoutherSavers.

Free Ragu at CVS

After a few weeks of not seeing any great deal I had to have at CVS…this week I’m pretty impressed with my buy!  Here’s what I got:

  • 6 jars of Ragu normally $2.19 but on sale for 3/$5 or $1.67 a jar.  They also have a promotion where if you buy $10 of select products you get $5.00 off next purchase.  I also used 3  $1/2 coupons from the 1/29 Red Plum.
  • 3 American Greeting cards at $0.99 each plus $3.00 off next purchase.  I had a coupon for B1G1 free but I left it at home.  If you printed one a few weeks ago when I posted…be sure to use it!
  • 1 Cadburry egg for $0.87 and $0.87 off next purchase
  • I also used at 25% off purchase coupon that printed at the red box when you walk in the store.  It says on my receipt it only saved me $0.75 which I’m pretty sure it wrong but I didn’t feel like asking about it.

Total before coupons and sale: $17.10

Total after coupons: $10.11

Then I used $3.00 in ECBs from a previous week, and paid with my CVS cash card from a few weeks ago

Grand Final: I paid nothing and earned $9.87 in ECBs for my next purchase 🙂  (and I still have about $3.00 on my CVS cash card)

*Note- if you don’t have any ECBs from previous weeks, you will end up paying about $11.00 and earning $9.87 in ECBs.  This mean you will basically pay $0.20 per jar of Ragu if you also buy the egg and cards!

**If you go to the CVS off port republic, there was only 1 Ragu left after me.  The CVS’s in harrisonburg get new stuff in Tuesday nights, so plan to go either late Tuesday or sometime Wednesday.  If they are out be sure to get a raincheck!!

CVS trip today: $58.98 worth of stuff for $7.74 plus $10.75 off my next purchase

Today after church I stopped by CVS and here’s what I got (and how you can get it too!)

  • 2 Lysol 4 in1 cleaners originally priced at $4.49 each, on sale for 2/$5.  Plus I used a $1 off 2 coupon from the 1/1 SmartSource insert
  • 2 All Free & Clear Laundry detergents (HE) normally $7.79 on sale for 2/$8 plus I used two $1 off coupons from the 1/1 Red plum. (there are also coupons in the 12/4 red plum)
  • 2 Finish Dish-washing tabs normally $6.29 on sale for 2/$7 plus I used two $2.15 off coupons from 1/1 SmartSource
  • 4 Triscuits normally $4.59 on sale for 2/$5 plus I used 2 $1 off 2 coupons I printed from coupons.com

All of the above products totaled $30 before coupons, and are part of the spend $30 get $10 off your next order promotion.

  • I also bought 1 twix (only the wrapper is pictured- we ate it before we could take the picture) normally pried at $1.19 but on sale for $0.75 plus you get 0.75 off your next purchase (Yay for FREE candy bars!)

The total:

Before coupons (but after sale price): $42.04

Coupons used: $9.30

ECB’s from last week: $15

Total: $7.74

If you don’t have all the coupons listed above, you can still get some pretty good deals.  I would recommend buying more Lysol since there are several coupons in the 1/1 smartsourse and they are all 2/$5 (except the spray), Sparkle paper towels on sale for $5 for 8 rolls, or CVS Acetaminophen which is buy one get one 50% off.  Adding the products should get you $30 so you can get your $10 off.

When figuring out if I really saved anything, or just bought stuff I don’t need, I add up the products I really need/use and ignore everything else.  For this trip, I would spend $4 on the All and $3.50 on the Finish.  This would bring me to a total of $15 and I only spent $7.74 out of pocket so its a pretty good deal.  The triscuits and lysol I could probably have found cheaper at Walmart, and the twix I wouldn’t buy unless it was free, but since I bought these, I could get the deals on the other products.

  • 2 CVS brand Tylenol 24 ct @ 4.49, and they were buy one get one free, so only paid 4.49 for the two

The total before coupons: 54.73

Then I used the coupons listed above, plus when I scanned my card at the machine at the front of the store I got a coupon for $5 off $25, then I used $7.50 in extra bucks from last week, so
